Lent - Day 19

if he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly;  (2 Peter 2:5, ESV)

The Apostle Peter reminds us that not only did God punish the angels who sinned, but also brought an end to the catastrophic corruption caused by those angels and the increase of ungodliness through the flood.

God, however in His love and mercy also rescued and maintained a remnant through Noah and his family to continue humanity.

What a mighty God we serve! He judges justly and punishes the wicked, and yet shows mercy and kindness to those that humble themselves before God. During this Lent season, let us put aside our pride and ego and walk humbly with God.
